Marie Marks is senior vice president of themed entertainment at Paramount, with responsibility for an iconic roster of intellectual properties including Star Trek, Top Gun, Mission: Impossible, Nickelodeon and MTV. Paramount’s brands reach audiences across a range of platforms including film, stage productions, theme parks, immersive experiences, branded restaurants, and hotels.
Since joining Paramount in 2019, Marks has successfully signed a multitude of global licensing contracts. With responsibility spanning all aspects of the business, Marks has worked diligently to develop better continuity between the business, legal, compliance and finance units, restructuring legacy projects and systems to better serve the evolving landscape.
Marks is a dynamic, creative and multi-award-winning businessperson, whose accolades include ‘Young Entrepreneur of The Year’ with the UK Chamber of Commerce. She has been a judge for both the Chamber of Commerce Business Awards and the International Stevie Awards, and a mentor for IAAPA’s Young Executive Program.
Ty Granaroli has created and produced theme parks and attractions for over 30 years. His projects include developments throughout the world, including China, Korea, Japan, the Middle East, North America and Europe. Granaroli started his career as a writer and creative director, leading creative development for six Thea Award-winning projects including Star Trek: The Experience, The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man and T2:3D.
Granaroli’s successes include creating projects for owner/operators Universal, Disney, Hershey and Paramount Parks, which he later joined as VP of creative. He has also opened his own design company, where he continued to design and produce outstanding attractions for a long list of international clients, with significant involvement in Warner Bros. Movie World, Abu Dhabi, where he created four of the main attractions and oversaw the creation and production of all attraction media.

In 2018, Granaroli returned to Paramount to lead design, development and production for all Paramount and ViacomCBS LBE licensing projects. Two years later, Ty was promoted to executive vice president of themed entertainment and was also named in the Blooloop 50 theme park influencers list.

The blooloop Innovation Awards 2022, presented with AREA15, showcase the incredible dynamism, imagination and creativity that drive the attractions business. Our judges are noted thought leaders and industry experts, who have explored the most innovative products and projects driving the future of the visitor experience.
The Innovation Awards will be announced throughout the Festival of Innovation. This year attendees will be able to browse the entries themselves and take part in the Public Vote Award. In addition, a selection of our judges and industry leaders will be discussing these exciting new trends, and operators will be sharing which innovations they are looking for to help them drive forward visitor experiences.
