Shenzhen-listed Songcheng Performance – one of the world’s biggest theme park operators whose parks attracted over 23 million visitors in 2015 – has revealed that its wholly-owned subsidiary Songcheng Australia Entertainment intends to raise RMB 2 billion for phase one in developing a visitor attraction, designed to showcase “Australia’s legends” on the Gold Coast in Queensland.
Based in the Nerang suburb of Gold Coast city, the park will include a theater that showcases Australia’s legends together with a local “cultural theme park”. The Chinese operator plans to allocate RMB 1.533 billion on planning and construction and RMB 335 million on land acquisition.
