International attraction development and production specialists, The Producers Group (TPG), has opened a new office in Shanghai in response to the company’s expanding markets in China.

TPG already operates a sales office in Beijing and says that the Shanghai location will allow more immediate interaction with clients throughout China and the rest of Asia. The company has named Praveen Rao as Operations Director of the new facility.

Executive Producer and Co-CEO, Edward Marks, comments, “We have several clients in mainland China, as well as other areas of Asia. It just made sense from a business perspective to have direct contact available in the region.”

TPG specialises in destination attractions for integrated resorts, casinos, museums and theme parks. Recent successes include four shows at the Thea Award-winning Chimelong Ocean Kingdom in Hengqin, China; The Fortune Diamond at the Galaxy Macau; and the Thea Award-winning Crane Dance at Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore.

“Managing the production of breakthrough, unique visitor attractions requires constant interaction with the client and the project team and that’s something that TPG strives to maintain, ” explains Executive Producer and Co-CEO, Bob Chambers. “The new Shanghai office will allow us to be timely and responsive to our development partners.”

“TPG’s effort is to utilise Chinese resources on our projects as much as possible, ” says VP of Business Development, Brian Paiva. “Shanghai is a huge hub for talent and vendors.”
