Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights is returning to Universal Studios Florida for a record-breaking 44 nights on 1 September.
Available through 31 October, the eerie event will include 10 new haunted houses based on some of the top names in terror and pop culture. Guests will also enjoy five scare zones, each brimming with creepy creatures.
As for F&B, the menu will be inspired by the event’s sinister brands, while merchandise will be on offer at themed retail locations.
Tickets for Halloween Horror Nights are available now from $79.99. Guests can also purchase an express pass to bypass the regular lines at the haunted houses and participating rides and attractions.
Additionally, they can take a guided nighttime tour and receive priority VIP access to all the shows and haunted houses, and unlimited access to the participating rides and attractions before and after the tour.
Finally, the ‘Behind the Screams: Unmasking the Horror Tour’ takes place during the day and offers a look at how the frights are brought to life through select haunted houses.
Last year’s Halloween Horror Nights ran for a record-breaking 43 nights from 2 September. It had haunted houses inspired by the Halloween franchise, The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours’ album, and Blumhouse brands.
Universal’s seasonal Halloween event is so popular that Universal Parks & Resorts is launching a new year-round horror attraction at AREA15 in Las Vegas.
Immersive horror experiences
In an interview with blooloop, AREA15 CEO Winston Fisher said the experience is going to be “badass” and will have guests “smiling and screaming”.
Page Thompson, the president of new ventures at Universal Parks & Resorts, said the move is due to a “growing demand” for horror-themed immersive experiences.
The venue will bring to life Universal’s huge library of classic horror films and characters, as well as modern horror stories thanks to collaborations with the likes of Jason Blum, James Wan and Jordan Peele.
