Firm returns to progress lakeside attraction into next stage of development

PGAV Destinations, a global leader in the planning and design of unique destinations, has announced it will be working to develop a master plan for Nashville Shores, USA.

Offering a nature-inspired break from the bustling city of Nashville (just 10 minutes away), the 385 wooded acres of Percy Priest Lake, comprises lodging, a marina, boat/ski rentals, a water park and Treetop Adventure Park, an aerial adventure course.

The long-term master plan will focus on enhancing operations and visitor experience with one key area of opportunity being to increase the quantity and varying the range of accommodation sites.

Other plans include adding new resort amenities to support the overall experience, reviewing brand identity, and evaluating on-site transportation methods.

Jeff Havlik, PGAV VP says “Nashville is a growing area for both locals and tourists. Nashville Shores being only 10 minutes from downtown Nashville is in a great position to provide accommodations and some great recreational activities for both the local and tourist groups. It is exciting to be allowed to assist Premier Parks and Nashville Shores in growing the resort and elevating the guest experience.”

“A terrific partner”

Almost a decade ago, PGAV Destinations worked with Premier Parks on another master plan to develop the site, with great success.

Nashville Shores has since experienced rapid growth in all aspects of the property. Its waterpark has nearly doubled in size with new slides and attractions, retail and concession units in recent years. The lakeside resort’s lodging program has also expanded with the introduction of a BBQ restaurant, and significant improvements to its pontoon boat rental fleet.

Premier Parks chairman, president & CEO Kieran Burke comments “I have worked with PGAV on many projects through the years. They have been a terrific partner and resource for the development of Nashville Shores and our other properties. We have seen great growth in the past 10 years, but there is still so much potential.

“Our vast property is located on a beautiful lake just ten minutes from the heart of a growing and exciting city that is also a major tourist destination. I am looking forward to collaborating with PGAV again to help make Nashville Shores one of the premier resort properties in the country.”

Their incredible experience and expertise in the attraction industry will be a great asset as we plan for the future. We are looking forward to learning about the potential plans, ideas, and developments for Nashville Shores.”

Earlier this month, PGAV Destinations revealed it will be working on the International Dark Sky Discovery Centre, a new science centre based in Arizona, US.
