ZIERER, a leading manufacturer of family-friendly amusement rides, is celebrating the launch of its new Force 360 Coaster with the inaugural installation, the Kikker8baan, now open at Duinrell in the Netherlands.

Replacing the Kikkerachtbaan after more than four decades of service, the new Force Coaster has been designed to honour this iconic ride through attention to detail and a clear focus on the park’s history.

This project illustrates how legacy attractions can be turned into future-ready experiences without compromising their emotional value.

Philip van Zuylen van Nijevelt, managing director and owner, Duinrell, says: "It was great to work with Zierer again! After 40 years, we replaced our Kikkerbaan for the new version, which makes us very happy!

"I’m sure this coaster will also last a generation."

Patrick Gegenfurtner, project manager, ZIERER, says: "Building a roller coaster intended to follow in the footsteps of a highly popular and successful predecessor is no easy task.

"We are therefore especially pleased to see how well the new ride has turned out and the very positive feedback Duinrell is receiving for the new coaster. The collaboration with Duinrell was excellent and our team has done an outstanding job."

Large Tivoli Coaster replacement

With an almost identical layout to the Large Tivoli Coaster, the Force 360 Coaster offers an ideal solution for replacing existing installations, many of which have been in use for almost 40 years.

The new ride boasts 360 metres (1,181 feet) of track and a top speed of 47 km/h (29 mph), while maintaining the iconic double-figure-eight layout that defines the Tivoli experience.

With enhanced ride dynamics, a modernised train design, and versatile theming capabilities, it offers a strong upgrade option for parks seeking to update their family-coaster portfolios.

Like other Force Coasters, the 360 has a 14-train configuration, which adds visual appeal and increases capacity. A recent example can be seen in Alton Towers' Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies!, a new Family Coaster featuring a 14-car train.

Last week, ZIERER formally launched Minifigure Speedway, a new Dueling Reverse Coaster at the Legoland Billund Resort in Denmark.
