The Game of Thrones Studio Tour, a “game-changing” new visitor attraction, has opened at Linen Mill Studios in Banbridge, Northern Ireland. Guests will get the chance to explore sets including the Map Room and Cersei’s Courtyard.
Stormont Economy Minister Gordon Lyons described the opening of the Game of Thrones-themed experience as “game-changing”. He said the HBO show is a “television and cultural phenomenon, with millions of dedicated fans right around the world”.
The studio tour will take fans to Westeros, offering a look at imagery, props, costumes and more behind-the-scenes attractions. Sets include the Great Hall at Winterfell, Dragonstone’s Throne Room, and the Mess Room at Castle Black.
“This is the only place on the planet where you can see first-hand some of the stunning sets, intricate costumes, imaginative props, breathtaking concept sketches and many more authentic items related to the show,” Lyons added.

“As we continue to emerge from the pandemic with increasing optimism, the timing of the opening of the Game of Thrones Studio Tour could not be more opportune. As international travel opens up once more, Northern Ireland has added this world-class attraction to its already dynamic tourism offering.”
Additional offerings at the studio tour include a pre-show experience and retail area selling Game of Thrones merchandise, as well as a restaurant, terrace and cafe area.
“I congratulate studio owners on bringing the project to fruition and look forward to seeing the positive impact the Game of Thrones Studio Tour has on the local tourism landscape for many years to come,” Lyons said.
