The International Live Music Conference (ILMC), a dedicated gathering of professionals from the concert and performance industry, has announced that the full programme is now confirmed for Touring Entertainment LIVE (TEL), which will take place on 1 March as part of ILMC 36.

Touring Entertainment LIVE will gather leaders from the biggest and most successful touring shows and exhibitions from around the globe for the event at Royal Lancaster Hotel in London. Delegates will explore the challenges and opportunities affecting this multi-billion dollar industry.

Greg Parmley, ILMC MD, comments: “We’re really excited to welcome some of the leading names in the touring entertainment industry to this inaugural event. With so many influential decision-makers in attendance, we’re looking forward to some really fruitful conversations at Touring Entertainment LIVE.”

Insights from industry leaders

The Touring Entertainment LIVE programme features keynote interviews with industry figureheads. Svana Gisla, ABBA Voyage producer will take to the stage, and theatre legend Richard Lewis will take part in a session moderated by blooloop’s managing director, Charles Read.

The day will begin with ‘The State of the Nation’ with Tom Zaller, Imagine Exhibitions; Liz Koops, Broadway Entertainment Group; David Pitman, Cirque du Soleil; and Jenny Sirota, RoadCo Entertainment. The panel will discuss major issues confronting the industry today, ranging from expanding new markets to heightened competition; the latest technological innovations to venue availability; and the perennial problem of rising costs and making the bottom line work.

A discussion on the A&R of IP will feature Sana Ali Aamir, Fever/Secret Media Network; Kurt Baker, NEON Global; and Andrew McGuinness, Layered Reality, and will be moderated by Susan Vargo from Moonbug Entertainment. They will discuss the ingredients for success when working with major intellectual property.

Christoph Scholz of Semmel Concerts, along with Ryan Amstad, Pophouse Entertainment; James Cassidy, FKP Scorpio Entertainment UK Ltd; John Langford, AEG Europe; and Marine Tanguy, MTArt Agency, will investigate the topic ‘Standing Out In A Crowded Market’.

Heather McGill of Unify Productions will chair a panel discussion (TBC) on trends for 2024–2025. This will consider what might be the next significant trend in technology following the rise of augmented reality, virtual reality, and projection mapping? And what has run its course?

Finally, the touring entertainment industry will gather for a session called ‘We’ve Got 99 Problems & Here’s How We Solve Them’ to wrap up the day. Jonathan Shank, Terrapin Station Entertainment; Didi Perez, RoadCo Entertainment; Ingrid Sutej, Temple Live Entertainment; and George Wood, The Luna Entertainment Group, will bring the industry together to address shared problems and explore possibilities for group initiatives.

There will be a dedicated networking session offering an invaluable chance for those in the industry to meet or reconnect, and TEO’s Manon Delaury and Fever’s Jessica Willig-Rosenstein will host Quickfire Sessions, where businesses can pitch to promoters and venues looking for their next project.

An ILMC 36 delegate pass provides full access to Touring Entertainment LIVE. Alternatively, attendees may visit the TEL day only with a separate pass. Full details can be found at 36.ilmc.com.
