The Mob Museum, a Las Vegas-based museum dedicated to organised crime, has purchased an adjacent parcel of land to expand its footprint.
Officially known as the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, the Mob Museum has bought a nearly 30,000-square-foot area of land directly to its east.
The wedge-shaped parcel provides the museum with additional space to build facilities for administration, exhibitions, archives, education, entertainment and F&B.
“The museum has enjoyed enormous success throughout our 10 years of operation, averaging well over 1,000 visitors a day, and we have remained focused on delivering an incredible guest experience, meaningful exhibits and public programs consistent with our mission,” said Jonathan Ullman, president and CEO of the Mob Museum.
Organised crime museum set to grow

“An expansion would enable us to reach a much broader audience by increasing our offerings, community engagement opportunities and contribution to the growth of the public’s understanding of organized crime and law enforcement.”
The Mob Museum offers interactive exhibits including a ‘Crime Lab’ and ‘Firearm Training Simulator’. It also features ‘The Underground’, a prohibition history exhibition with a speakeasy and distillery.
“Planning for the museum’s expansion is still in its earliest stages,” Ullman added. “While extremely exciting to consider, our plans are entirely conceptual at this point. We look forward to announcing additional details in coming months.”
Las Vegas is now home to a new immersive art experience called Perception, featuring digital art installations such as Leonardo: The Universal Man.
Earlier this month, the Boring Company and Resorts World Las Vegas opened the first passenger station in Elon Musk‘s expanded underground Tesla tunnel system.
