The Museum of Women will be located at 480 Broadway. It will feature immersive and interactive exhibits.

The new Museum of Women is set to open in New York City‘s Soho this summer, offering 14 immersive exhibits across more than 25,000 square feet.

The museum will be located at 480 Broadway. “We are excited to have the Museum of Women in our building,” said building owner Greg Kraut, CEO of KPG Funds.

“The Museum of Women is an innovative experience that is perfect for Soho, and we are thrilled to be part of that experience,” Kraut added.

The attraction will occupy more than 25,000 square feet on three levels. “We are beyond excited to have Museum of Women’s first physical location be at 480 Broadway,” said founder Abby Trott.

“We could not think of a more iconic location to be the home for the bold experience we are building to change the way we hear, define, and listen to women.”

“It will be truly interactive,” the museum’s real estate broker, Josh Berger of Norman Bobrow & Co., told the New York Post. “It’s a cool concept targeted at empowering women.”

Trott said she has brought in a team of “amazing, talented women” to design the exhibits. Avery Riester, vice president of the Museum of Women, previously served as director of operations at the Museum of Ice Cream.

“We want to use art to create critical thinking and conversations,” Trott said.

“This is just a new generation’s twist on an art museum and we hope it will have a positive impact,” she added.

“Everything will be kid-friendly and we hope it can be a place for young girls to have conversations that we were unable to have at their age.”
