Tessitura, a nonprofit technology company dedicated to helping arts and cultural organisations thrive, has joined forces with Activity Stream in a partnership which will offer marketing, engagement, and planning functionality to their shared clients.
Erin Lively Koppel, Tessitura’s chief strategy officer, says: “Activity Stream’s solutions will allow our members to automate important moments in their customer journeys. They operationalize marketing and transactional data, so members can better understand audience behavior. That creates more efficiency for arts and culture teams. It also helps them deliver seamless experiences that grow engagement.”
A comprehensive range of tools for live events has now been made available by combining the CRM and transaction system from Tessitura with three tools from Activity Stream; the Activity Stream platform, Yesplan and crowdEngage.
Integrated, real-time data
Activity Stream is a marketing and data visualization platform which can increase sales by offering companies the insights needed to enhance their audience segmentation and design highly effective campaigns. This can pull data from Tessitura, and additional sources such as previous email campaigns, Google Analytics, Google Ads and Facebook.
The email marketing platform offers event marketers an intuitive drag-and-drop interface, with which they can target audiences based on purchase history, interests, and other characteristics. Key metrics and straightforward dashboards report results.
Tessitura can also pull data from a wide range of interactions in Activity Stream’s crowdEngage software. This tool can schedule messaging by text and email, deliver tickets, provide venue information, and request donations. It can also enable food and drink orders – without the customer needing to download an application.
Together these functions give organisations the ability to generate income and increase audience satisfaction – throughout the event lifecycle.
Yesplan offers support for operations and event planning and pulls all ticket transaction data from Tessitura to make sure that organisers are working with up-to-date information. Venues can use this tool to map out their events in full. There are features for managing event spaces, resourcing equipment and scheduling staff. The technology can help manage project plans and budgets, too.
Supporting arts and culture organisations
Einar Saevarsson, CEO at Activity Stream, says: “We’re thankful that Tessitura trusts us to be part of their partner ecosystem. This exciting collaboration demonstrates our shared commitment to working with arts and culture organizations to increase their earning potential and improve customer engagement. Together, we undoubtedly push the industry forward by delivering incredible experiences to audiences around the world.”
There are Tessitura integrations currently available for Activity Stream and crowdEngage, and a Yesplan integration is in development.
Tessitura recently welcomed three arts and culture leaders to the nonprofit company’s Board of Directors; Ming Min Hui, chief financial officer at Boston Ballet; Barbara Polk, chief administrative officer at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts; and Jamie Bosket, president & CEO of the Virginia Museum of History & Culture.
