Abha will be home to Saudi Arabia's first entertainment destination developed by Saudi Entertainment Ventures (Seven), with the project set to open on 5 August.

Turki bin Talal Al Saud, the governor of Asir, will inaugurate the new entertainment destination on 5 August, the Saudi Press Agency has announced.


Seven, a wholly owned subsidiary of Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), is investing SAR 50 billion ($13bn) in the development of 21 entertainment destinations across 14 cities.

The Abha location has been designed to reflect the city's natural and cultural identity, also providing entertainment experiences such as interactive attractions, arcade games, gathering spaces, and retail and F&B experiences.

Highlights in Seven's new sites will include indoor golf courses, bowling lanes, state-of-the-art cinemas, Hot Wheels-themed electric karting, world-class thrill rides, and edutainment centres.

For its entertainment destinations, Seven has secured partnerships with companies including Mattel, Hasbro and Warner Bros. Discovery.

Seven previously unveiled a new Transformers -themed coaster for three of its entertainment destinations in Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah.

Seven’s 21 entertainment destinations will be located in Riyadh, Kharj, Makkah, Jeddah, Taif, Dammam, Khobar, Al Ahsa, Madinah, Yanbu, Abha, Jazan, Buraidah, and Tabuk.

Per a press release, Abha is one of the kingdom's leading tourism and cultural hubs, and the new attraction reflects the continued development of Saudi's Aseer region.
