Zero Latency, a global leader in VR entertainment, has launched a new flexible 6-player version of its innovative free-roam arena. This enables multi-attraction centres to be more adaptable when it comes to offering memorable experiences on a compact footprint.

According to research, 81% of customers find virtual reality to be an extremely or very appealing type of entertainment, surpassing more conventional options like bowling and arcade games. In light of this, Zero Latency created a more user-friendly technology that would enable operators to provide guests with premium virtual reality experiences.

The new flexible arenas come in two sizes, 10×10 and 14×7, appropriate for six players. Zero Latency is ideal for VR centres, family entertainment centres, resorts, amusement parks, arcades, and more. Thanks to impressive technology, the same adventures can be experienced in a smaller location, giving prospective partners even more freedom when running their own Zero Latency. Zero Latency, with its range of licensing tier possibilities, provides visitors exclusive thrills unmatched by other gaming experiences.

Adaptable and flexible solution

“Our experiences are mind-blowing, so it’s been important to make sure we capture that same monumental feeling, even in smaller spaces,” says Scott Vandonkelaar, CTO at Zero Latency. “We’ve done a lot of testing to ensure our adventures translate and that they still feel excellent. Our team has ensured that our technology has remained adaptable and flexible to new environments so that our customers get the same feeling of immersion, no matter the size of the venue.”

The first site to use this new service is Cafe 35 Kings Billiards and Bar in Rochester. As a multi-attraction location, the team was looking for something unique that would captivate its current clientele while drawing in new visitors.

“Having Zero Latency within our multi-attraction center in Rochester will be a game changer,” says Hakan Sayginer, Cafe 35 Kings Billiards and Bar owner. “Our customers love trying new, exciting experiences, and free-roam virtual reality is a key trend and evolution in the attractions industry that is impossible to ignore. The new 6-player sizing has allowed us to add Zero Latency to our list of attractions so that customers can experience the most immersive adventures available today.”

With its best-in-class technology, Zero Latency gives players in highly immersive environments greater mobility and agency than ever, without additional wires, backpacks, or other distractions. More than 3.7 million players have played Zero Latency worldwide, and new, adjustable arena sizes enable the firm to share the experience in many more places.

Earlier this month, Zero Latency announced that the eagerly awaited Space Marine VR: Defenders of Avarax title will be released in October 2024. The new free-roam VR experience is set in the Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine universe and will be available globally at Zero Latency’s 90+ venues.
