News
7thSense P-Series 6 media server

7thSense, the multi-award-winning media solutions specialist, has revealed the P-Series 6 media server.

This next-generation product has been developed to meet the demands of mid-range digital media projects, providing a cost-effective solution that supports multiple outputs and generative media applications. P-Series 6 is an excellent platform for real-time generative media, interactivity, and multi-layer frame-based media playback for live events, theme parks, museums, and digital art installations, among other applications.

Powering spectacular experiences

The P-Series 6 builds on the success of its predecessors to deliver performance, versatility, and scalability. This results in an affordable solution for a variety of media playback applications with up to four video outputs. Real-time media manipulation, sophisticated colour management, and ultra-high-resolution playback enable artists, designers, and engineers to produce memorable experiences for their audiences.

The key features of P-Series 6 are:

  • Compatibility. The solution is tested for use with 7thSense Delta Media Server, 7thSense Actor Media Server, 7thSense Compere, Unreal Engine, Unity, Notch, TouchDesigner, and as a standalone platform for user-installed software.
  • Comprehensive media support. Supports multiple media formats, bit depths, and resolutions, enabling adaptability in varied media landscapes.
  • Flexible configurations. The P-Series 6 offers customisable input/output choices, making it suitable for projects from small installations to large multi-display events. It offers the same flexibility and dependability as the award-winning R-Series hardware yet in a more compact form, requiring only 2U of rack space.
  • High-performance hardware. The P6 is equipped with advanced processors and GPU technology, built on PCIe 5.0 technology. Its cutting-edge graphics cards support genlock, framelock, and swaplock.
  • Real-time interactivity. The P-Series 6 enables dynamic, audience-driven experiences with smooth responsiveness by integrating with top interactive technologies.
  • Unparallelled reliability. With server-grade components, the P-Series 6 is designed for 24/7 operation.

Richard Brown, CTO of 7thSense, says: “We are thrilled to introduce the P-Series 6 media server. This launch marks a new era for generative and frame-based media serving technology. Whether it’s a cutting-edge theme park attraction, a projection-mapped building, or a virtual production studio, the P-Series 6 brings creators’ vision to life with the performance and level of control our customers expect.”

7thSense continues to lead the industry in high-performance media servers that enable the creation of the most visually spectacular and immersive experiences with the P-Series 6. The new media server adds to 7thSense’s growing product line and is available to order immediately.
