Capturelife, the innovative digital platform reimagining attractions photography, has announced the launch of three new technologies set to transform the photography experience for both guests and operators.
The company’s new photo background removal technology will automatically create more content by applying branded backgrounds to every photo, while the new international localisation features will support customers doing business around the world. Finally, Capturelife’s integration with the Google Drive file storage platform will offer a powerful new workflow and integration tool.
Photo background removal
With the help of the new Capturelife Background Removal technology, customers now have additional opportunities to boost sales and strengthen their brands. An artificial intelligence (AI) engine created by Capturelife can identify people in pictures and automatically crop out the backdrop. This makes it possible for tourist sites, hotels, and professional sports teams to place visitors in memorable settings that capture their experiences.
Photographers no longer need to use a green screen backdrop thanks to this new and exclusive tech. As a result, the visual experience can blend perfectly with its surroundings. The AI engine has the capacity to teach the algorithm to detect particular photo criteria, such as the need to include props in the visitor photo experience. The technology is constantly evolving in order to give visitors the highest-quality photographs possible.
International Localisation
As a growing number of its customers are based around the world, the firm has introduced new features to support the localisation needs of different countries.
Multiple Language and Currency: Customers now have the option to set up the platform to support their local language and currency. When guests use the branded Capturelife touchscreen kiosks at the location or the Capturelife mobile web app, they will see the information in their native tongue and be able to use their local currency.
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Support: GDPR, the strictest privacy and security law in the world was created and adopted by the European Union (EU) in 2018 and also imposes consumer data privacy requirements on businesses worldwide that target or gather data about EU citizens. A software platform must enable any citizen to seek access to any personal data being stored or request the permanent removal of all of their data from the system, in order to be GDPR compliant.
Capturelife’s new processes and tools fully support GDPR requirements. On the Capturelife consumer web app, users can ask for a report revealing all personal data being stored on the Capturelife platform. Consumers can also ask for all of this data to be removed. Capturelife is dedicated to maintaining security protocols and processes to protect the personal data stored on the platform.
Google Drive Sync
Customers now have access to a powerful new workflow and integration tool thanks to Capturelife’s integration with the well-known Google Drive file storage platform.
Streamlining Workflow: Photos and data from any Drive folder can automatically sync into Capturelife using Google Drive Sync. For instance, one of Capturelife’s resort clients immediately uploads edited photographs from Lightroom to a Google Drive folder that is connected to Capturelife. These images are automatically synced to Capturelife and then immediately made available for purchase by visitors utilising Capturelife Touchscreen Kiosks or the Mobile Web App.
With the Google Drive Sync, photos and data can sync automatically from any Drive folder directly into Capturelife. For example, one of Capturelife’s resort customers saves photos they edit in Lightroom directly to a Google Drive folder that is mapped to Capturelife. Those photos are automatically synched to Capturelife and are immediately available for guests to purchase using Capturelife Touchscreen Kiosks or the Mobile Web App.
Simple Integrations: Integration with third parties, such as picture booths, ticketing platforms, or visitor data systems, is a snap with the Capturelife Google Drive Sync. A Google Drive folder can be used to store images and/or guest information, and Capturelife will automatically extract the data and upload the photos so that customers can view and buy them right away.
Several Capturelife customers have already begun using these new tools to optimise their operations and drive more sales. Those customers are now seeing up to a 28% increase in overall revenue and 15% post-event sales.
Last year, Capturelife partnered with event photography specialists Sunrise Image Studios to provide a state-of-the-art digital photography platform to Club Med holidaymakers.
