ECA2 light & laser show at the Burj Khalifa 2024

Firm has created the seasonal spectacular at the world’s tallest building for the third consecutive year

ECA2, a leading creator of high-quality multimedia shows, has once again created a New Year light and laser show for the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, UAE. This year, the show continues across the adjacent Dubai Fountain Lake.

This is the third year in which ECA2 has created the New Year spectacular for the landmark in a partnership which is set to continue next year.

Spectacular show with simplified technology

The Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain Light and Laser Show welcomes in the New Year in spectacular style. This year it includes an innovative show in the iconic fountain lake which creates a narrative between the laser show, lake, and astonishing 828m tall tower.

With this expansion, the show can be seen from a much wider area and so can wow bigger crowds than in previous years. In addition, ECA2 has created this bigger offering using simplified technical requirements – and so has achieved more with less.

The spectacular combines light, laser, water, colour, music, and emotion in an innovative display. It showed three times a day on 31 December and throughout January and continues twice a day until 31 March 2024. In addition, it has been broadcast on television and online.

The firm says: “For the first time, effects have been amplified tenfold to create a spell-binding visual connection between the Dubai Fountain Lake and the Burj Khalifa tower. Horizontal meets vertical in a dramatic hymn to modernity and art. Lights and lasers appear around the fountain featuring holographic forms and atmospheric moods. Joy fills the eye of every spectator, privileged to witness one of the most lavish and exciting New Year’s Eve celebrations on the planet.

“Nowhere else is better suited to this uplifting choreographic vision. The breathtaking multimedia symphony of effects lifts all eyes upwards to the awe-inspiring tower, lifting spirits as we all look forward to a brighter future. More immersive than ever, the impact stays with visitors for a long time to come. Millions will remember this destination within a destination, sharing countless selfies, enthusiastically recounting the story from their own perspective, looking forward to what next year’s creation will bring.”
