Join us for a free online panel discussion exploring personalisation, AI, immersive storytelling, and more

Join us at 10 am GMT on Wednesday 15 January for a session discussing innovation in the guest journey as part of blooloop’s Festival of Innovation.

This panel discussion will be led by Mark Locker, founder and CEO of Attractions.io, who will be joined by Jim Denny, VP of digital experience at Six Flags, Tim Morrow, president and CEO at San Antonio Zoo, and Adele Keane, COO and creative director of Imvizar.

The guest speakers will discuss the future of the guest journey, including data-driven personalisation, immersive storytelling that is accessible to all audiences, and how to deal with increased guest expectations. They also explore how AI can be used to enhance the guest experience and help operators.

The session will be available on demand for 30 days.

The Festival of Innovation is a free, online event that invites the global visitor attractions industry to explore the most innovative projects, products and organisations that are shaping the future of the sector.

Mark Locker headshot

With Attractions.io, Mark Locker combines his three passions; business, technology, and the attractions industry.

Locker and his team create mobile technology to help attractions delight guests and increase second-gate spending. He is dedicated to sharing his extensive expertise and experience with other professionals in the sector and supports organisations such as the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Merlin Entertainments, Cedar Fair, and the San Diego Zoo.  

Before founding Attractions.io, Mark Locker ran Theme Park Nerd, a “micro-agency” that created mobile applications and websites for the theme park industry in the UK.

Tim Morrow headshot

Tim Morrow is the president and CEO of San Antonio Zoological Society, which operates San Antonio Zoo, Will Smith Zoo School, the Center for Conservation and Research, Kiddie Park, and Starbucks. Morrow oversees a team of 10 executives that manages over 700 employees and more than 400 volunteers, and cares for over 800 animal species, including some that are threatened, endangered, or extinct in their natural habitats.

His goal to elevate the San Antonio Zoo has resulted in a community investment of over $115 million since his arrival in 2014. During this time, hundreds of habitats have been enhanced, including a number of significant renovations. 

Before joining San Antonio Zoo, Morrow had a 24-year career in the theme park industry. His experience includes the launch of parks such as Fiesta Texas in San Antonio; Parque Plaza Sésamo in Monterrey, Mexico; Discovery Cove in Orlando, Florida; and most recently, Aquatica Waterpark in San Antonio, Texas.

Adele Keane

Adele Keane is the COO and creative director of Imvizar, an augmented reality (AR) platform that specialises in creating captivating location-specific experiences.

Imvizar is redefining storytelling by converting passive narratives into captivating spatial stories on a life-sized scale. Storytellers will soon be able to create their own immersive narratives without knowing how to code with Imvizar’s user-friendly AR experience creation tool.

Keane leads Imvizar’s creative team, collaborating with elite talent to create groundbreaking immersive augmented reality storylines. Her extensive multimedia background, including live-action and large-scale 3D productions, enables Keane to produce immersive AR experiences that perfectly integrate the virtual and real worlds.

Jim Denny

Jim Denny, VP of digital experience at Six Flags, has spent the last decade in the entertainment and amusement park industry and previously worked in financial services for over ten years.

This distinctive combination has provided Denny with a thorough understanding of how to develop engaging digital experiences that captivate visitors while driving significant business results.

The Innovation Awards

The blooloop Innovation Awards presented with AREA15 celebrate the incredible dynamism, imagination and creativity that drive the attractions business.

The winners of the 2024 Guest Journey category will be revealed at this session. Attendees can browse all the entries during the event, and vote for their favourite to win the Public Choice Award.
