Semnox Provides Park Management Software For Clacton Pier

Popular UK entertainment and amusement centre, Clacton Pier, has installed Semnox Solutions’ Parafait suite of applications to manage its cashless and ticketing operations.

The family destination at Clacton on Sea in Essex is utilising Parafait’s complete EcoSystem comprising an all new multi-screen redemption system, Self Service Kiosks, Park maintenance module, Employee Attendance Module, Mobile deducting agents, Digital Signage and a full service Food and Beverage module with Mobile POS and Kitchen Display System.

Billy Ball, Managing Director, The Clacton Pier Company Ltd., was quick to praise Semnox for their willingness to listen to customers: “They are more than willing to make changes and add new features based on feedback given, ” he said.

Semnox’ Parafait suite is installed in over 500 locations across more than thirty countries worldwide. It won the ‘Innovative product of the year’ award at the annual IAAPI conference in 2009, 2013 and 2014.

“My quest for a good cashless system required our solution partners to be innovative so we could stay on top of our competition and that’s exactly what I found with Semnox, ” said Ball. “Having reviewed several park management systems over a period of 3 years, I saw that most of them were stagnant with their product functionality. Semnox were not only able to fit to our needs as of today, but were also able to demonstrate that their product roadmap would help us achieve our goals in the future.”

Ball highlighted some ‘surprise benefits’ from the system including using data from the system to defend fraudulent insurance claims and the ability to monitor technician attendance times on the Pier’s rides which helps the company track costs and down time.

“Innovation and customer feedback lies at the heart of Semnox’s management principles, ” commented Umesh Prabhu, Vice President, Semnox Solutions. “We have developed an innovative solution that combines both technological advancements and operational excellence for Amusement Centre and Park operators.”
