Framestore to be present at IAAPA Expo Asia 2019

Lionsgate Entertainment World Hunger Games

Framestore, the visual effects specialist, has announced it is heading to IAAPA Expo Asia in Shanghai to showcase immersive interactivity and game-changing rides.

Framestore is pleased to be attending IAAPA Expo Asia 2019 which takes place from the 11th – 14th June at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The 13,000 square-metre trade show floor will host over 400 exhibitors when it opens on the 12th of June. The Framestore rides team will be on the show floor to meet delegates and talk about some of the company’s latest projects.

IAAPA Expo Asia is the regions premier event for the attractions industry, and over 8,500 theme park and attractions professionals from over 60 countries are expected at the event. As well as the trade show, there is a packed schedule of events and learning opportunities available for attendees.

The creative studio will be highlighting some of its most recent attractions projects at the exhibition. For example, it has been working on several rides for the upcoming Lionsgate Entertainment World park in Hengqin, China, based on fan favourites The Twilight Saga and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.

Game Changers

The Framestore team will also be discussing Game Changers, the range of turnkey theme park rides which it has developed alongside partners CAVU Designwerks. Game Changers combines CAVU’s innovative approach to theme park ride engineering with Framestore’s visual effects and storytelling expertise. The range represents a new way for visitors to be immersed through personalisation of ride experiences.

“IAAPA Expos are without a doubt some of the best industry events that bring together clients and partners and are a great platform for us to connect with brands looking to maximise their IPs in immersive experiences,” says Adam Sargent, Business Development Manager at Framestore. “We’ve been looking forward to this year’s Asia Expo as it’s such an important region for us. Both because of the big projects we’ve been working on in China and because of the wealth opportunities available in the region.”

Framestore recently partnered with HBO to create a pair of fully immersive fan experiences in three US cities, to promote the final series of Game of Thrones.
