Holovis expands media capabilities with the appointment of Amy Steele

News

Amy Steele has joined Holovis as VP of Development, bringing 20 years of entertainment industry experience to help the company accelerate the expansion of Holovis Media, its in-house content and game development division.

Steele joins Holovis with a unique skill set, having successfully held several key media positions in show production, brand messaging and licensing, business development and visual asset creation for the world’s most prestigious theme parks, museums, games producers and digital media houses.

Amy Steele (right),  VP of Development at Holovis explains: “The worlds of digital and interactive media are (right)becoming much more prominent within the attractions industry, especially within theme parks. Holovis is the leading innovator in embracing this trend, and I am delighted to be joining the fast expanding international team of world class creatives and technical specialists who have the single aim of delivering more of the high end media and interactive based attractions that are already creating a real stir in the industry.

“Attractions of this type require very specialist, tailor-made content, which many attempt, but very few do well because of their lack of understanding of what true media/ride integration requires. It’s a complex mix of great story-telling, immersive interactivity and exciting motion, supported with a complementary soundtrack and sense heightening SFX. Being a part of the Holovis media and game development team working alongside their ride designers, control system engineers and projection specialists is a first for me.  All those capabilities working together in one place, offers a truly unique, turn-key approach to the most demanding of Entertainment and Theme Park clients.”

Holovis Media specialises in the production of film content, interactive game content, ‘extended experience’ applications, and VR & AR technologies for immersive and complex attraction formats.

Steele will lead the in-house production project team which is composed of over 30 film makers, game producers, technologists and software developers, all with extensive expertise in content creation for the attractions industry.

Stuart Hetherington, CEO of Holovis adds,  “There are very few show producers in the world with Amy’s unique set of skills and we’re privileged to have her as part of our team. Our successful strategy to offer high quality turn-key solutions will be enhanced with this key appointment, further strengthening the dynamic combination of compelling, story-driven media with experiential design that puts guests right at the heart of the ride experience”
