Luna Park in Coney Island, New York City has announced the names of its new roller coaster and log flume ride, set to open in summer 2022.
The new coaster will be called ‘Tony’s Express’ and the log flume will be named ‘Leti’s Treasure’, paying homage to the Zamperla family, who own Luna Park through their company, Central Amusement International (CAI).
Tony’s Express and Leti’s Treasure are named after the late Antonio and Letizia Zamperla, the grandparents of CAI’s president and CEO Alessandro Zamperla. Antonio Zamperla became the first Italian to be inducted into the IAAPA Hall of Fame in 2005.
Tony’s Express is a family-friendly coaster that will bend and curve around Leti’s Treasure. It will reach speeds of up to 40mph across more than 1,200 feet of track.

In addition, Luna Park is opening the new Sky Chaser Ropes Course and pedestrian plazas as part of its 2022 expansion. The project will increase the park’s size by 50 percent and create an additional 100 jobs.
Luna Park is the largest amusement park in New York City, home to family-friendly attractions and entertainment, thrill rides and special events.
Zamperla, a leading ride manufacturer, has installed its popular Family Coaster model at the new Peppa Pig Theme Park in Florida.
