Mack Rides has been honoured with two FKF Awards.
The Freundeskreis Kirmes & Freizeitpark e.V. awards were presented for the new MACK Rides installation of 2014: The Launch Coaster “Helix” at Liseberg as well as the Inverted Powered Coaster “Arthur – in the Minimoys Kingdom” at Europa-Park.
The FKF Awards, initiated in 2003, are presented to just three attractions per year based on a vote of members.
Commenting on winning two of the three awards, Jürgen Mack, managing partner of Europa-Park, said, “Opening a world’s first at Europa-Park and opening an outstanding launch coaster at Liseberg next to many other attractions in one year was a challenging task for our team – therefore we are even more proud to receive these awards and share it with our team.”
The award for the inverted power coaster, “Arthur – in the Minimoys Kingdom” at Europa-Park, recognised the advanced technology in creating a complex ride system combined with immersive theming. CEO of Mack Rides, Christian von Elverfeldt, said, “This combination of interactive dark ride and racy rollercoaster is absolutely remarkable.”
