Scruffy Dog Creative Group (SDCG), a leading creative design and delivery company, has secured a significant tender for the new Six Flags theme park at Qiddiya, one of Saudi Arabia’s key giga-projects. The scope of the contract includes the development design, build, delivery, and installation of several thematic features, animatronic elements, and flagship installations.
Bouygues Bâtiment International (BBI) and Saudi Almabani General Contractors (AGC) awarded the contract, which exceeds $20 million. This is an extension of the joint venture of the two companies in Saudi Arabia.
BBI, a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction, has a global footprint and a reputation for construction expertise while AGC, which is a well-known business in the construction sector, further solidifies the credibility and significance of this partnership.
Bringing the project to life
Malik Al Asadi, SDCG’s projects director, says: “Scruffy Dog Creative Group is excited to utilise its outstanding creative fabrication and build capabilities to bring this project to life. With our unwavering passion, expertise, and commitment to pushing boundaries, the team is ready to exceed expectations.”
Joe Bright, SDCG’s CEO, adds: “It’s truly exciting that the group is able to continue our relationship with Qiddiya from design into delivery and be part of the Kingdom’s first major theme park and entertainment flagship. In addition, it’s a privilege to be working alongside two world-renowned companies.”
The project’s size and scope demonstrate confidence in Scruffy Dog Creative Group. This new contract also emphasises the company’s status as a key player in the Middle East entertainment industry.
Last month, Scruffy Dog Creative Group’s newly launched M.A.D Models division was commissioned to create a scale model of Emerald Park’s upcoming 6.5-acre expansion, Tír na nÓg, in order to bring the creative vision for the new themed land to life. M.A.D Models launched earlier this year as SDCG’s new architectural model-making division.
