Shanghai Disney suspended ticket sales for 2 days from January 29th due to exceptionally high attendance around Chinese New Year.

In a statement Shanghai Disney asked guests planning to come to the theme park to purchase tickets in advance and said, “We reserve the right to suspend ticket sales at the resort on these dates should demand require.”

Celebrations at the theme park have included themed parades, photo opportunities and a special wishes projection event after the regular Nighttime Spectacular show.

The resort saw in the Year of the Rooster with two traditional Chinese lions bringing fortune and prosperity. Philippe Gas, general manager of Shanghai Disney Resort, was on hand to dot the eyes of the lions, thereby awakening them to spread good cheer and luck to resort guests and cast members.
