Super 78, the award winning creative, production and special venue company, has been nominated for an award from the Visual Effects Society (VES) for their work on Moody Gardens’ SpongeBob SubPants Adventure.
This immersive, interactive character experience, created and designed by Super78 together with Nickelodeon Animation Studio, has been recognised in the 2016 “Outstanding Visual Effects In A Special Venue Project” Award category.
Other awards for SpongeBob SubPants Adventure include Thea Awards from the Themed Entertainment Association – Outstanding Achievement: Attraction and Outstanding Achievement: Technology Breakthrough for Super78’s Geppetto ACS™ technology. In addition the attractions received a nomination from Digital Hollywood in the Best in Total Immersive – From Theme Park to Installations category.
SpongeBob SubPants Adventure is a one-of-a-kind 3D digital puppetry experience. Super 78’s Geppetto ACS™ system enables guests have live, one-on-one conversations with Patrick Star and help navigate the direction of the adventure ensuring that each show is unique.
SpongeBob SubPants Adventure is Super 78’s third collaboration with SimEx-Iwerks! and Nickelodeon, following Dora & Diego’s 4D Adventure: Catch That Robot Butterfly and SpongeBob SquarePants 4D: The Great Jelly Rescue.
