Europa-Park has announced the soft opening of the theme park’s latest attraction, a family-friendly dark ride called Snorri Touren, featuring an octopus guide.
Michael Mack, CEO of Europa-Park, also announced the pre-opening of Snorri Touren on Twitter, saying “another surprise awaits”.
Mack wrote: “After the reopening of the Scandinavian themed area this summer, another surprise awaits our visitors this winter season: the new dark ride #SnorriTouren!
“Even better: from today onwards after 12pm, you are invited to try out the new attraction as part of a soft opening!”

Snorri Touren has opened in the Scandinavia area of Europa-Park, which is based on an idyllic Nordic village.
The renovated area reopened in July. Large parts of the Scandinavia zone were destroyed in a huge fire at the German theme park in 2018.
Snorri Touren is a family-friendly dark ride, in which octopus Snorri takes guests to the mysterious island of Rulantica.
Guests will have an adventurous expedition in a rubber dinghy and will discover the various themed areas of the magical island.

The tour begins in Trølldal, where the trolls celebrate with a big party as Snorri plays the drums. Guests will then make their way to a colourful underwater world.
At the end of the tour, riders will meet the sea serpent Svalgur, who has seemingly been frozen in ice.
Meanwhile, Europa-Park’s new water world Rulantica is opening in November. It is the biggest project in the company’s history.
The 450,000 sqm water world will have nine different settings and 25 water attractions, including 17 water slides.

Europa-Park’s sixth themed hotel, Krønasår, opened earlier this year. The seven-storey, Nordic-themed hotel accommodates up to 1,300 overnight guests.
