London is soon to be home to a Paddington Bear-themed immersive experience, and the UK city’s Peaky Blinders-themed show is ending and looking for a permanent venue.

Opening in 2023 at London’s County Hall, the Paddington Bear Experience is an interactive show where guests help Paddington and the Brown family get out of a sticky situation.

The multi-sensory experience will immerse fans of the franchise in the world of the beloved children’s character, created by Michael Bond in 1958.

The 26,000-square-foot attraction features immersive designs, live performances, themed F&B and and a retail offering.

The first Paddington book, ‘A Bear Called Paddington’, introduced readers to the polite bear from Peru who is found by the Brown family at London’s Paddington station.

Since then, the Paddington books have sold more than 35 million copies worldwide, and were followed by TV adaptations and feature films.

The Paddington Bear Experience is directed by Immersive Octopus, written by Katie Lyons (Peaky Blinders: The Rise), and designed by Rebecca Brower (Doctor Who: Time Fracture).

The show is presented by the Path Entertainment Group and the Copyrights Group, in partnership with Lionsgate.

Meanwhile, Peaky Blinders: The Rise is ending its London run on 28 May, with the producers planning to take the show across the world and hoping to find a permanent home for it in the UK – ideally in Birmingham.

Located in London’s Camden Market, the Immersive Everywhere experience features detailed sets, character interactions and competitive gameplay.

“Going to ‘The Rise’ really is like being inside the TV show,” said Jamie Glazebrook, executive producer at Caryn Mandabach Productions.

“You step into the world of Peaky, surrounded by beloved characters, taking part in iconic scenes, and listening to some of the series’ best music.

“I’m truly thrilled that so many people have been able to immerse themselves in this extraordinary experience, and I’m excited about what is coming next.”
