Jigsaw star Tobin Bell is returning to his role for London’s new Saw immersive experience, opening in time for Halloween on 27 October.

Bell is voicing John Kramer, aka the Jigsaw killer, for Saw: The Experience. Described as a narrative-driven escape room experience, the attraction is a collaboration between Lionsgate, Twisted Pictures and the Path Entertainment Group.

With his casting, the escape experience is “elevated to new heights of fear, authenticity and immersion as Jigsaw’s nightmare legacy ensnares a new generation of players to make the choices that will earn their redemption”, says a news release.

The attraction’s themed bar, ‘The Traproom’, has also been unveiled. This will be available at the end of the experience for “weary survivors that have overcome their trials with Jigsaw”.

Inspired by Jigsaw’s workshop, The Traproom features a collection of some of the killer’s most terrifying traps throughout the Saw franchise.

Players will be able to “unwind from the horrors they have endured” with a selection of beverages that have been developed for Saw: The Experience.

Per the release, “Will you earn redemption through trials designed to test your teamwork, or will your moral compass betray others to ensure your own survival? Make your choices. Live with the consequences.”

Oren Koules and Mark BurgSaw producers and founders of Twisted Pictures, said visitors “can be a part of the story and uncover what Jigsaw’s twisted games have in store for them”.

Jenefer Brown, Lionsgate EVP and head of global LBE, said the attraction merges “theatrical elements with Jigsaw’s iconic traps to create the ultimate Saw escape”.

The Saw franchise’s global box office passed $1 billion last year. Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures recently announced that the next chapter of Saw will arrive in cinemas on 27 October 2023.

Meanwhile, scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis opened a new Halloween-themed experience ahead of the theatrical release of Halloween Ends on 14 October.

Fans of the horror franchise experienced a replica of Laurie Strode’s home in Haddonfield, Illinois beneath the Piccadilly Lights in London.
