Peppa Pig: Surprise Party opens near Newcastle this autumn

Peppa Pig: Surprise Party, a new immersive experience for preschoolers, is coming to the UK’s Metrocentre shopping centre in Gateshead near Newcastle.

Opening this autumn, Peppa Pig: Surprise Party is described as the UK’s first-ever Peppa Pig immersive experience.

Across the 19,000-square-foot space, young guests will get the chance to interact with characters and explore iconic scenes from the animated TV series.

They will also enjoy interactive storytelling, state-of-the-art puppets, theatrical performances, hands-on activities, and original audiovisual (AV) content throughout.

During the new experience, visitors will get to choose the perfect gift with Miss Rabbit and sing along with Madame Gazelle.

Peppa Pig: Surprise Party ends with a celebration with Peppa’s family at their house, complete with party hats and even muddy puddles.

The attraction also includes a variety of photo opportunities, and a gift shop selling exclusive souvenirs and Peppa Pig merchandise.

Additionally, it includes a free buggy park and cloakroom, as well as a sensory room with a calming colour, changing lights, soothing music, toys and bubble tubes.

Peppa Pig: Surprise Party is designed specifically for young children by live entertainment company Immersive Everywhere in collaboration with Hasbro.

Matt Proulx, senior vice president of global experiences, partnerships and music at Hasbro, said: “Peppa Pig: Surprise Party is a fresh and playful take on Peppa’s beloved world.

“The experience invites families on a brand-new adventure – packed with unexpected moments, interactive fun and big surprises for little fans.”

He added, “It’s a joyful addition to Peppa’s live event lineup, and we can’t wait for families to jump in and celebrate with her.”

Peppa Pig’s LBE footprint is growing, with three Peppa Pig theme parks (two in the US and one in Germany) now open to little fans.

Elsewhere, Paultons Park is home to Peppa Pig World, the UK’s only Peppa Pig-themed land.
