Lumsden, a design firm specialising in retail and F&B for visitor attractions, has been recognised with a 2026 King’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade.
As one of just 185 organisations across the country to receive the accolade, the Award reflects Lumsden's outstanding achievement in International Trade.
Celebrating exceptional UK businesses
Established in 2012, Lumsden specialises in the design of retail and hospitality spaces for visitor attractions, cultural and branded environments.
James Dwyer, owner and creative director of Lumsden, says: "Receiving a King's Award for Enterprise is a genuine milestone for Lumsden. It is recognition of what our team has been building over many years, project by project, across the US, Asia, Europe and beyond.
"In recent years, our work with Netflix, Warner Bros and the Natural History Museum of Denmark reflects something we have always believed: that the best experiences are rooted in storytelling, shaped around how people genuinely connect with a brand, a collection, or a world they love.
"This award validates our approach to design on an international stage, and it means the world personally and to every person in our team who has committed so much to creating and delivering these exceptional experiences."
The King’s Awards for Enterprise, formerly known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, were renamed in 2023 to reflect His Majesty The King’s dedication to continuing the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II in celebrating outstanding UK businesses.

Netflix House Dallas
Now in its 60th year, the King’s Awards for Enterprise continue to be regarded as the UK’s most esteemed business honours.
For the following five years, successful organisations can use the prestigious King’s Awards Emblem, which serves as a mark of excellence for clients, partners, and international markets.
"We are a studio that believes deeply in people and in culture. The power of a well-told story to make someone really feel something in a physical space is at the heart of everything we do," says Dwyer.
"Internationally, our recent interior design work spans Harry Potter Flagship Stores in Chicago and Tokyo, the innovative Netflix Houses in Dallas and Philadelphia, and all front of house visitor, retail and hospitality spaces at the Natural History Museum of Denmark.
"That breadth reflects a real expansion of what Lumsden has been building over several years. This award is the recognition that makes it all count."
