During a live session at blooloop V-Expo 2021, a three-day virtual event for the global attractions industry, this year’s blooloop 50 Theme Park Influencer and blooloop 50 Museum Influencer lists were revealed. These lists recognise individuals who have made a real difference over the last 12 months, and are driving their sector forward during a challenging time.

Nominations for both lists were submitted by our global readership of attractions industry professionals, and the winners were selected by a panel of expert judges. The final 50 have demonstrated a drive to bring about real change in the sector.

Charles Read, Blooloop MD says, “The blooloop 50s are a barometer of change within the industry. Whereas last year we saw many individuals who had been active in keeping the industry connected and active recognised, this year, in addition to the major players and key projects, we see people who are leading the way in inclusion and sustainability.

“Thanks to everyone who made nominations, our wonderful judges and of course our sponsors. Congratulations to our 2021 influencers.”

Congratulate our influencers

This year Blooloop has introduced a new feature. You can congratulate our blooloop 50 influencers by posting a “card” online. Messages can be customised, and also include a valuable link from Blooloop back to your own website.

Digital cards cost £50, or £20 for Blooloop members. (members please sign in to access the lower price). 50% of all revenue will be donated to WWF’s Climate Crisis Fund.

It showcases people whose innovation and creativity have been key in guiding museums through a turbulent 12 months.

“The dedication, passion, and resilience that I saw museum leaders demonstrate in this year has no doubt transformed our industry in myriad ways,” says Tom Zaller, President and CEO of Imagine Exhibitions. “The influencers on this list represent the strength, creativity, and innovation that is a hallmark of our field, now and as we move into the future.”

Celebrating creativity and innovation

Innovation has been on show throughout blooloop V-Expo, with a schedule of inspiring speakers and the announcement of the first-ever blooloop Innovation Awards winners, in partnership with AREA15.
