Liverpool Football Club has launched its new and improved museum, which offers immersive experiences and interactive exhibits.
The attraction at Anfield has been reimagined for the first time in a decade. A celebration of the English football club, the museum has integrated cutting-edge technology such as multimedia installations to bring the club’s history to life.
With nine new spaces, the museum is home to interactive displays, state-of-the-art exhibits, the club’s major trophies and memorabilia, a section for supporters, and a tribute to former manager Jürgen Klopp.
Mike Cox, senior vice-president of museum and tours at Liverpool FC, said the museum is “more than just a collection of artefacts; it’s a place where we can celebrate the club’s heritage and the incredible journey we’ve shared with our fans”.
He added, “The new space is a modern revamp of our story that remembers our past and looks to our future.
“We can’t wait for the fans to experience the magic of Liverpool FC in this new immersive way.”
The museum and tours are some of Liverpool’s leading tourist attractions. Last year, nearly 400,000 people visited the Anfield tour for a behind-the-scenes look at the stadium.
Trend for football LBE experiences
Elsewhere, the £300 million expansion of Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium is starting to take shape, with the core of the hotel now installed.
The football club is expanding the stadium’s capacity to more than 60,000 for the 2025/26 season, and adding a new fan zone, club shop, hotel and museum.
The world’s first Real Madrid theme park opened in Dubai earlier this year.
