The Touring Exhibitions Organisation (Teo), a one-stop resource platform for the international touring exhibitions community, has revealed the full programme for Teo Live 2024.

Teo Live aims to enable the international touring exhibitions community to discover exhibitions and experiences, learn about trends, and connect with colleagues from across the world. It welcomes museums and culture, heritage, tourism, leisure, and events professionals working in the hosting, touring, production, and promotion of cultural exhibitions and experiences.

This free online event is being held on Thursday 23 May from 3 pm to 5.30 pm CEST. Registration is now open. blooloop is proud to be an event partner for Teo Live.

2024 keynote presentation

In this year’s keynote session, Cinema and live experience practices for touring exhibitionsLuc Jacquet and Charles Sadoul will discuss how key cinematic and live event production practices can inspire and fuel creativity and engagement in international travelling exhibitions.

With extensive experience in the creation of film productions, digital artworks, concert experiences, and immersive environments, Jacquet and Sadoul will share new mediums from these creative industries and will explore how they can be applied to the travelling exhibitions sector to help produce unique visitor experiences.

Jacquet directed the Oscar-winning documentary March of the Penguins and the newly released Antarctica Calling. He is an explorer, scientist, nature filmmaker, and artistic director who has spent 35 years working to increase awareness about the importance of protecting our natural environment.

He has travelled to some of the most isolated places on Earth and witnessed the fragility of some of the world’s most extraordinary ecosystems. Jacquet has dedicated his life to telling remarkable stories that reconnect audiences with nature, inspiring them to reflect on the beauty and fragility of the Earth, with positive messages that inspire them to make a difference themselves.

Sadoul is a digital artist, creative developer, technical director, sound engineer, and musician who investigates the relationship between art and new technology in an ongoing effort to challenge established processes.

His works employ new technologies to create spaces in which audiences can see and feel differently. Throughout his career, he has designed experiences for contemporary artists, musical institutions, and cultural organisations such as Orelsan, NTM, Yves Saint Laurent, Nuits Blanches, Eddy de Pretto, and Jain.

He has collaborated with Jacquet on various immersive experiences at the intersection of cinema, art, science, exhibition, and live performance, including the opera Storie di mare e piccole terre, Antarctica, and Terra Incognita.

Exhibition marketplace

Teo Live will also feature a marketplace of touring exhibitions with more than 25 presentations. This is followed by the opportunity to connect with the presenting producers in dedicated online rooms. In addition, attendees can meet with specialists and further producers who are available to discuss opportunities.

Presenting producers include the American Museum of Natural History, E/M Group, Exhibits Development Group, Flying Fish, Grande Experiences, Imagine Exhibitions, Nomad Exhibitions, Universcience, and more.

Earlier this year, the Touring Exhibitions Organisation (Teo) led two conference sessions at the 2024 Touring Exhibitions Pavilion event in Paris. The sessions looked at emerging trends and new experiences in worldwide touring exhibitions, with speakers specialising in art, science, design, history, natural history, world cultures, popular culture, and technology.
