Royal Caribbean has unveiled its new cruise ship, Legend of the Seas, which features new entertainment experiences and the most dining options at sea.
Royal Caribbean’s third Icon Class ship sets sail next year. Guests will enjoy eight neighbourhoods, 28 dining options, more than 20 bars and lounges, and myriad unique attractions.
"With Legend of the Seas, we are bringing to life our most legendary vacation yet as we continue to push the boundaries with more of what guests know and love," said Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean.
"Those looking to get the most out of their vacation can have it all with Legend's combination of adventure-packed experiences and incredible destinations in Europe and the Caribbean."
Highlights on Legend of the Seas include the Category 6 water park, the largest water park at sea and home to six waterslides, as well as the Crown's Edge attraction, described as part skywalk, part zip line.
Other attractions on the ship include the Adrenaline Peak rock-climbing wall, seven pools, including the largest pool at sea, a new carousel concept, a redesigned Playscape for young guests, and the world's largest kinetic art sculpture.
Additionally, Broadway musical Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will be making its debut at sea in the cruise ship's Royal Theater.
Legend of the Seas will also be Royal Caribbean's fourth ship fuelled by liquefied natural gas (LNG), and features environmental applications such as waste heat recovery systems and shore power connection.
Earlier this year, Royal Caribbean unveiled Perfect Day Mexico, its upcoming private destination for passengers, and part of an expansion of the company's land-based offerings.
Spanning more than 200 acres, Perfect Day Mexico will open in 2027 with attractions such as Loco Waterpark, which includes the longest coaster waterslide in the world.
