Semnox Solutions, a technology provider for the entertainment and amusement industry, has teamed up with K&K Adventure Zone, a new indoor entertainment centre with multiple attractions in Prince Frederick, Maryland.
K&K Adventure Zone expands the K&K Adventure Park brand, aiming to offer the community year-round entertainment. It includes an arcade, laser tag arena, virtual reality experiences, mini-golf, and a laser maze suitable for visitors of all ages.
To facilitate operations at the new facility, K&K Adventure Zone collaborated with Semnox Solutions and Betson Enterprises to deploy Semnox’s Parafait platform.
This setup includes LuminOS game readers, self-service kiosks, and a centralised point-of-sale system to streamline guest transactions and enable cashless gameplay.
A straightforward system
“We wanted something that was straightforward for both our staff and our guests,” says Kelly Ridgewell, owner and operator of K&K Adventure Zone.
“With so many different attractions in one place, having everything connected through one system just made sense for us. It gives us more flexibility as we continue to grow.”

Semnox’s platform is built to assist family entertainment centres in managing arcade operations, guest transactions, kiosks, reporting, entry validation, access control, and other venue management features via a centralised system.
K&K Adventure Zone also tested other guest-facing technologies during its opening, such as online booking, waiver management, and mobile operational tools. This helped the team assess potential expansion opportunities as the business develops.
“Venues today are trying to manage a lot at once, especially when they’re balancing multiple attractions and high guest volume,” adds Kevin Kochman, sales partner for FECs, North America, at Semnox Solutions.
“For K&K Adventure Zone, the goal was to create something easy to operate day to day while still giving guests a smooth experience throughout the facility.”
Semnox Solutions also announced this month that it is working with Adventure Coast, a newly rebranded outdoor amusement park in Southport, UK, to deploy a completely cloud-based, cashless management system.
