Disney has revealed that Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, a two-night hotel experience, will embark on its inaugural voyage at Walt Disney World Resort on March 1, 2022.
Walt Disney World has also announced that general bookings for the immersive Star Wars hotel in a galaxy far, far away open on October 28, 2021.
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will feature a cruise-style itinerary where visitors become the hero of their own Star Wars adventure.
Galactic Starcruiser guests will travel in style aboard the luxurious Halcyon starcruiser, famed for its chic cabins, stellar service, exotic destinations and delicious F&B.

The voyage also includes a trip to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, as well as lightsaber training, a droid racing competition and model shipbuilding.
In addition, guests will visit the Halcyon’s bridge to learn how to operate ship systems. Ann Morrow Johnson, executive producer and creative director at Walt Disney Imagineering, has shared a first look at the bridge.
Passengers will be able to alter their own storyline as they interact with characters, guests and the crew. State-of-the-art technology is combined with captivating storytelling to create an innovative attraction.
Earlier this year, Disney released footage of Imagineering’s realistic lightsaber, which will make its debut at the Galactic Starcruiser. The video shows an Imagineer holding the replica weapon as it ignites to make the blue blade appear.

Meanwhile, Disney has revealed that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is opening at Epcot in 2022. Disney World site portfolio executive Zach Riddley said the ride features “a totally new type of roller coaster experience”.
“It’s a storycoaster that rotates 360 degrees so you’re always focused on all the action as you help the Guardians save the galaxy,” Riddley added.
“Not only that, but Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will also feature the first reverse launch on a coaster in Disney history and is one of the longest enclosed coasters in the world.”
Today (October 1), Walt Disney World Resort is kicking off its 50th anniversary celebrations.
