Disneylandis celebrating its 70th anniversary with new experiences

Disneyland in California is celebrating its 70th anniversary with a new collection of POV videos of iconic rides and lands in the original Disney park on Disney+.

In 4K on Disney+, viewers can now experience some of Disneyland's iconic attractions and lands in their own homes.


Virtual visitors can enjoy a ride on Indiana Jones Adventure, the Cars-themed Radiator Springs Racers ride, the legendary Haunted Mansion, and the Incredicoaster, which is inspired by The Incredibles.

More rides available on Disney+ are Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder Mountain, the Pixar Pal-A-Round Ferris wheel, and Tiana's Bayou Adventure – the park's new ride based on The Princess and the Frog.

Additionally, viewers can experience the Soarin’ Around the Worldflight simulator attraction, as well as Pirates of the Caribbean and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

Disneyland's 70th anniversary

As for the park's lands, Disney fans can get a look at Cars Land, Hollywood Land, Mickey's Toontown, Main Street, U.S.A., Avengers Campus, and Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.

Part of Disneyland Resort in California,Disneylandmade its debut as the original Disney theme park on 17 July 1955. It was joined in 2001 by Disney California Adventure.

Disneyland's 70th anniversary celebrations are taking place now through summer 2026.

Within both parks at the resort, guests will find new entertainment and shows, colourful decorations, themed F&B, collectible merchandise, and more.

As part of Disneyland's 70th event, Walt Disneyhas returned to the parkas an audio-animatronic figure for a new attraction called Walt Disney – A Magical Life.

The figure was created by Walt Disney Imagineering through extensive research and innovation.

“From capturing the twinkle in his eyes to his expressive hands and eyebrows, the team pioneered numerous artistic and technological innovations to create the most lifelike performance of an audio-animatronicsfigure possible,” Disney said.
