Fantawild Holdings Inc., a leading one-stop solution provider in the theme park industry, opened the latest addition to its Beautiful China trilogy series on 19 July. The new Jining Glorious Orient park in Shandong showcases China’s modernisation and history over the last 100 years, using cutting-edge technology and bold creativity.
With its nine themed zones and forty-two themed attractions, the 660,000-square-meter resort has attracted a total investment of 3 billion RMB. Visitors can immerse themselves interactively in recent history through a variety of buildings with a nostalgic aesthetic and landscape designs that evoke bygone eras.
High-tech attractions, live performances and more
Nine expansive indoor attractions and over thirty smaller attractions feature state-of-the-art elements, including AR and VR. These include a 4D dark ride and an attraction with a spherical screen. Fighter Jet, ZHI YUAN, Let’s Fly, Old Summer Palace and Railroad Warriors are among the attractions that have proven popular since the grand opening.
With a top speed of 92 kilometres per hour, Fighter Jet is a modern roller coaster featuring exhilarating twists and dashes, transporting guests to the role of fighter pilots.
A tracked indoor rafting experience, ZHI YUAN takes guests back to the scene of a historic open-water battle that occurred more than a century ago. They will get a deeper understanding of the life of the fabled warship Zhi Yuan and see firsthand how warriors faced down adversaries in the middle of enormous seas.
Let’s Fly is a flight simulator featuring a suspended spherical screen. Flying above China’s stunning landscapes, visitors can see the Three Gorges Dam, the Five Hundred Meter Aperture Spherical Telescope (FAST), historical landmarks, and busy metropolises.
Old Summer Palace is a theatre show that uses audio-visual effects and architectural projections to replicate the grandeur and beauty of the royal grounds. Another indoor attraction is The Glorious Years. This theatre production, which features special effects on a large screen, tells tales of historical heroes.
Young visitors looking for excitement can enjoy the interactive attractions Highway Warriors, Sharpshooters, and Hangar Breakout. In a variety of situations, riders assume the role of heroes as they engage in combat with foes.
Family fun with Boonie Bears
The Boonie Bears-themed area is suitable for the whole family to enjoy, inspired by the popular animated IP. Sunshine Playground invites parents and kids to play together and for younger visitors, there are fun activities like Funny Swing, Happy Race, Bumper Cars, and Spinning Billiards.
There are a number of popular food and beverage chains inside the park as well as outlets serving local dishes for a taste of Shandong Province, and the Boonie Bears Burger House, which is home to a children’s playground. Visitors can also buy Boonie Bears merchandise and souvenirs.
Fantawild also recently announced the opening of Boonie Bears Land in Yichun, in China’s Jiangxi province.
