Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Universal Studios Hollywood

Following the launch later this month of Nighttime Lights at Universal Studios Hollywood, the Los Angeles theme park has announced a new light show for the yuletide season. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will again play a starring role.

Transforming Hogwarts Castle into a breathtaking glow of light projection, the show will be the centrepiece of Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Hogsmeade village will also shine brightly as the quaint town celebrates with festive décor and holiday-themed food and beverages including, what else, hot Butterbeer.

Multiple times each evening, colourful projection mapping will illuminate Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with impressive multi-dimensional animations that dance across Hogwarts Castle in tandem to a musical arrangement from of the Harry Potter movies.
Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter represents the land’s first winter themed celebration since opening at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2016. There is, however, snow on the rooftops all year round.

This summer, Universal guests will be able to meet-and-greet a host of new DreamWorks characters. Their arrival is in anticipation of the 2018 opening of the new DreamWorks Theatre starring Kung Fu Panda.
