Leading experience design company, Leisure Expert Group (formally Jora Entertainment), is celebrating its third consecutive year as Insomniac’s key design and production partner for the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas.
Once again, Leisure Expert Group designed the main stage and produced the spectacular Kinetic Temple opening ceremony, viewed by thousands.
The company worked closely with Insomniac’s Pasquale Rotella and his team throughout the creative process, developing a storyline as well as providing lighting and stage design for two further stages, Wasteland and Neon Garden.
Now in its 20th year, the Electric Daisy Carnival ran from 17th-19th June and attracted 400, 000 eager music lovers. The event was held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, in the heart of the Nevada desert.
The USA’s largest dance festival features eight different stages, a host of interactive art installations, full-size carnival rides, performers that push the boundaries of imagination and even the chance to get married in the festival grounds.
Aside from all the video content, Leisure Expert Group produced a number of time-coded shows including the show-stopping opening ceremony, five intermezzo shows and the closing ceremony. The huge range of effects such as light, video content, fire, pyro, water and laser were pre-programmed, allowing each ‘wow moment’ to be timed to the millisecond.
Leisure Expert Group, based in the Netherlands, has worked with Insomniac on a number of projects including Nocturnal Wonderland in 2015, providing complete design and production services including video content and lighting design.
