Six Flags theme parks to offer new horror IPs and experiences

Six Flags is preparing to launch its biggest Halloween season to date, with new experiences inspired by The Strangers, The Conjuring Universe, and Blumhouse’s first original Spanish-language horror film.

As previously announced, The Conjuring: Beyond Fear is an interactive experience inspired by New Line Cinema’s The Conjuring Universe and coming to legacy Cedar Fair parks.

These are Cedar Point and Kings Island in Ohio, Canada’s Wonderland in Ontario, and Carowinds in North Carolina.

This new ‘Screamium’ (premium) attraction features state-of-the-art effects, screen-to-scream environments, and a series of eerie interactive challenges.

In addition, seven Six Flags theme parks will offer experiences themed to iconic horror IPs, as follows: The Conjuring Universe, the Saw franchise, Trick ‘r Treat (2007), Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022), Army of the Dead (2021), and new for 2025, The Strangers.

The Strangers: No Escape is based on The Strangers (2008) and The Strangers – Chapter 2 (2025), where menacing masked home invaders lurk in the shadows.

These IP experiences will feature as part of the Fright Fest event at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Six Flags Great Adventure, Six Flags Great America, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Six Flags Mexico, Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags Over Texas.

Also at Six Flags Mexico, there will be a haunted maze based on No Me Sigas, Blumhouse’s first original Spanish-language horror film, shot in Mexico City and premiering this autumn.

“It’s an unbeatable lineup of innovative, immersive entertainment including iconic Hollywood horror franchises and original, next-level terror.

“Our haunted mazes, scare zones, live shows and world-class rides will create unforgettable memories this fall.”
