Six Flags Fiesta Texas has also updated its existing DC attractions

Six Flags Fiesta Texas is opening the largest DC Universe-themed area at a US theme park on 1 March, the park has announced.

Described as a Texas-sized expansion, the new DC Universe will offer three new rides: Cyborg Cyber Revolution, Shazam! Tower of Eternity, and Metropolis Transit Authority.

Also, guests will meet DC characters like Supergirl, Green Lantern, Batman, The Joker, Poison Ivy, and The Penguin.

“We are beyond excited to unveil the largest DC Universe themed area in the US and bring these iconic characters to fans in Texas like never before,” said Jeffrey Siebert, park president of Six Flags Fiesta Texas.

“This expansion offers an incredible experience for fans of all ages, where they can step into thrilling new attractions, expanded themed areas, and reimagined classics.

“With something for everyone, it’s the ultimate place to feel like a DC superhero – again and again.”

Three new DC rides

Here’s what guests can expect from the new rides:

Inspired by Cyborg’s fusion of man and machine, Cyborg Cyber Revolution features four giant mechanical arms rotating around each other.

Shazam! Tower of Eternity is a family-friendly drop tower that sends guests plunging to the ground from 70 feet.

Metropolis Transit Authority is a monorail-style train providing a scenic aerial tour of the new DC Universe area.

Additionally, Planet Krypton is a new F&B outlet serving New York-style pizzas.

As well as the new offerings, Six Flags Fiesta Texas has updated its existing DC-themed attractions, including Supergirl Sky Flight, Poison Ivy Toxic Spin, and The Penguin: Gotham City Getaway.

The park has also remodelled the Daily Planet retail outlet.

In November, Six Flags announced plans to invest more than $1 billion over the next two years across its network of 42 theme parks.

This came after last year’s merger with Cedar Fair.
