Tayto Park in County Meath, Ireland is set to spend more than €30 million on three new roller coasters, including a dinosaur-themed attraction called Dino Coaster.
Raymond Coyle, founder of Tayto Park, confirmed that work is progressing on the Dino Coaster, which will be completed by February next year, The Irish Times reports.
After that, work will start on two additional coasters in March or April 2022. Coyle said the park secured planning permission for the coasters in March last year. Both rides will be finished by the end of 2023.
Announced in June 2020, the new suspended thrill coaster at Tayto Park is 31 metres tall and 748 metres long, and the new family boomerang coaster is 24.2 metres tall and 238 metres long.

“This is the largest single investment in our history,” Coyle said at the time. “We currently employ 420 people and not only will the new coasters add employment to the local economy, they are securing the future of the park.”
Tayto Park was closed for much of last year due to the pandemic, with revenue at parent company Ashbourne Visitor Centre Ltd dropping from €18.83 million to €9.27 million.
Coyle said the theme park is enjoying “a very good year this year with numbers up on last year” and confirmed that the company’s investment in the new coasters will “be over €30 million”.
In Banbridge, Northern Ireland, Warner Bros. and Linen Mill Studios are opening the Game of Thrones Studio Tour in February 2022. Tickets are now on sale for the visitor attraction.
