Tayto Park, Ireland’s only theme park, has announced a new water ride for 2017 – a themed flume ride called The Viking Voyage.
The park, which is themed around Ireland’s best known brand of crisps, attracts around 800,000 people a year. Tayto Park General Manager Charles Coyle spoke to Blooloop this month about his ambitions to raise visitor numbers to 1.5m people by 2022.
The Viking Voyage at the Park will include a viking village, five replica viking ships and 20 life size Vikings as well as 1.7 million litres of water.
The themed ride was designed by leading amusement park and water park ride company Interlink and is currently being installed by them.
