The interactive experience is a popular family attraction around the world

Triotech, an award-winning creator of media-based attractions, has announced the opening of its latest ride installation in South Korea, becoming the eighth of its type at a Legoland park.

The ride was originally designed for Legoland Billund, Denmark and Legoland California, US. Other iterations followed in Legoland’s other parks in Florida, Malaysia, Germany and the UK. NINJAGO The Ride was also installed at Legoland New York last year, and now Legoland Korea.

The experience is found at the new Lego-branded theme park in Chuncheon City, Gangwon Province. NINJAGO The Ride is a unique concept featuring Maestro, Triotech’s interactive technology. Guests use their arms or hands (removing the need for handheld devices) to throw virtual fireballs, lightning, ice, and shockwaves to defeat villains.

Triotech says the experience is very intuitive, creating an accessible experience for guests.

Triotech president and CEO Ernest Yale says: “It is a real pleasure to see NINJAGO The Ride being deployed all over the world – now visitors to Legoland Korea will be enjoying it too. The ride is very family-friendly and typically gets a top satisfaction rating from park guests. We often see both children and their parents riding again and again to get a higher score!”

Latest Lego venture

The new Korean destination is described as “the ultimate Lego theme park and hotel destination”, catering especially for families with children aged between 2-12. The Merlin Entertainments-operated attraction is also the first Legoland site to be constructed on an island, located alongside the beautiful nature and scenery of Jungdo.

The park has debuted with forty attractions and shows within the seven themed lands of Brick Street, Bricktopia, Lego Castle, Lego NINJAGO World, Pirates Shore, Lego City, and Miniland.

Last month, Triotech announced it has won a Golden Crown Award for its work at Happy Valley Tianjin, which received one of the firm’s XD Theater products.
