Universal Studios Hollywood has revealed some of “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” signature art.
“The Wizarding World of Harry Potter”, set to open in Spring 2016, will include immersive theming in meticulous detail from the books and films. The focal point of “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™” will be the iconic Hogwarts castle.
Eagerly awaited is the signature attraction, “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey” – a hyper-realistic 3D-HD ride which takes guests on a journey by Floo powder soaring high above Hogwarts, through a Quidditch match, past the Whomping Willow and narrowly escaping a dragon attack.
“Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey” uses ground breaking theme park ride technology including a state of the art robotics ride system combined with filmed action sequences and immersive special effects.
With Quidditch-inspired 3D goggles, guests will accompany Harry and his friends, spiraling and pivoting 360-degrees along an elevated ride track on a thrilling adventure.
“The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” will also feature Universal Studios Hollywood’s first outdoor coaster – “Flight of the Hippogriff” – a family coaster.
Guests will be able to enjoy authentic food and beverages at multiple locations, including: Three Broomsticks™ and Hog's Head pub, as well the Magic Neep and Butterbeer™ carts. Eight retail shops and locations include Honeydukes™, Ollivanders™, Owl Post™, Zonko’s™ Joke Shop, Wiseacre's Wizarding Equipment, Dervish and Banges, Gladrags Wizardwear and Filch’s Emporium of Confiscated Goods™.
