Thomas Mazloum has been named Disney Experiences' new chairman, succeeding Josh D'Amaro.

In addition to Mazloum's appointment, Disney has announced Jill Estorino as president of Disneyland, Tasia Filippatos as president of Disney Parks International, and Lisa Baldzicki as president of Disney Consumer Products.

Starting with Mazloum, he will now oversee Disney's theme parks, cruise ships, resort hotels, expeditions and adventures, and consumer products, as well as Walt Disney Imagineering.

As part of his Disney career, Mazloum has served as president of the Disney Signature Experiences segment, and as president of Disneyland in California.

D'Amaro described Mazloum as "an exceptional leader with a genuine appreciation for our cast members and a proven track record of delivering growth".

"His focus on service excellence, broad international leadership, and strong connection to the creativity that brings our stories to life make him the right leader to guide Disney Experiences into its next chapter," D'Amaro added.

Leadership changes at Disney

As for Estorino, she is moving from her role as president of Disney Parks International to president of Disneyland in California.

Taking over as president of Disney Parks International is Filippatos, who is being replaced as president of Disney Consumer Products by Baldzicki.

"We’re in an unprecedented period of growth for Disney Experiences," said D’Amaro, who was announced as Disney's new CEO to replace Bob Iger last month.

"This team will propel the world-class experiences Disney is known for to more guests across the globe."

Disney said the leadership transitions will get underway in the next few weeks, with all roles effective from 18 March.

"As we look ahead, I have tremendous confidence in Thomas and in the leaders stepping into these roles – Jill, Tasia, and Lisa – along with the incredible leadership team across Disney Experiences," said D’Amaro.

"Together, they will continue to build on our momentum around the world, delivering the service, creativity and one-of-a-kind experiences that define Disney."
