The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a country in the Middle East comprising seven emirates. It extends from the Arabian Gulf to the borders of Saudi Arabia and Oman.
The country has a thriving visitor attractions industry. In 2023, IAAPA named the UAE the fastest-growing amusement park market within MENA. In addition, Mastercard Economics Institute’s Travel Industry Trends 2023 report named the country one of the three most popular destinations for Middle East travellers.
Its capital, Abu Dhabi, is home to over 1.5 million people and is also a global finance and innovation centre. The city and the surrounding Abu Dhabi emirate are known for their tourist attractions and cultural offerings.
These attractions include leisure, entertainment, and cultural destinations and experiences. Yas Island, the region’s top entertainment and leisure destination, is 10 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport. Dubai is the UAE’s most populous city. It is known for its luxury resorts, towering skyscrapers, and sandy beaches. Dubai also has a thriving tourism industry, with attractions such as Dubai Safari Park, the theme park Motiongate Dubai, and the Burj Khalifa among its offerings.
