Ahead of the opening of its first SnowPark in Oman, Unlimited Leisure is making its marmot family of characters and intellectual property (IP) available to other attraction operators.
Lead character Miko is available for licensing together with seven family members and friends. These include his sister Maya and their parents Mutti and Max. Together they enjoy exciting adventures in storylines set in the Alps.
The marmots will be featured at SnowPark Mall of Muscat, which opens in Oman this coming December. In this flagship project from Unlimited Leisure, guests can visit over 20 snow and ice attractions in a themed Alpine winter landscape.
Bringing the brand to life
In addition, Miko’s adventures have been brought to life in a 3D film called Miko and the Spell of the Stone. In this fun animated movie, he discovers a magic stone that reverses the seasons. A full range of merchandise had also been produced, comprising plush items, souvenirs, games, clothing and more.
Unlimited Leisure is offering the complete SnowPark experience including the marmot characters as a franchise opportunity to interested potential operators. This could be on a geographical exclusive basis for permanent or relocatable facilities including operations handbook, training, and management agreement. Alternatively, joint ventures would be considered.
Multiple snow and ice experiences
There are over 60 snow and ice experiences available for inclusion in future SnowPark projects. Options include snow play, bumper cars on ice, snowmobiling, slides, ice-skating, a 3D theatre, AR/VR games and more. Light projections, roaming characters, animatronics, real snowfall, food terraces and specially composed music and light effects would also be used to enhance the experience.

At SnowPark Mall of Muscat, visitors will also be able to prebook attractions with The Experience Ticket and take advantage of a video capture system from TapeMyDay.
