Immotion, a global leader in immersive edutainment, is experiencing significant growth in the European market this year. New major partners include Whipsnade Zoo, Palma Aquarium, and London Zoo, which is preparing for a launch in November.
With these new collaborations, the company now works with 135 institutions across the globe, including established European leaders like Oceanogràfic de València, Chester Zoo, and Leipzig Zoo.
Patricia Marino, director of business development and sales at Palma Aquarium, says: “Immotion’s Undersea Explorer has been a fantastic addition to Palma Aquarium. This experience has improved our visitor’s experience offering to our visitors a truly fascinating and up-close encounter with marine life in a way that’s both deeply educational and highly entertaining.
“Our visitors have been captivated by the experience, which has helped us inspire curiosity and foster our passion for protecting our oceans.”
Additionally, Immotion has released two new VR experiences this summer. Dinosaur: Evolution, brings prehistoric worlds to life with science and storytelling, taking guests on a journey 65 million years into the past, while in Dolphins of the Reef, which was recently awarded Best Virtual Reality at the Los Angeles Film Awards (LAFA), visitors dive into the world of dolphins and their coral reef environment.
EAZA Annual Conference 2025
Immotion is set to exhibit at the EAZA Annual Conference 2025, which is taking place from 9 to 13 September in Łódź, Poland.
Attendees can find the company at stand #16, where they can experience a sample installation of Immotion’s VR pods/attraction. This will showcase the company’s acclaimed films that have been created to align with conservation education goals and increase visitor engagement.
Rod Findley, CEO of Immotion, says: “2025 has been a year of remarkable growth for us. Each new partnership demonstrates the trust that leading zoos and aquariums place in our ability to deliver innovative VR experiences that inspire audiences and reinforce conservation messages.
“Reaching 135 partners worldwide is a milestone we’re incredibly proud of; and we look forward to what’s next.”
The conference programme includes a speaking session led by Findley, which will be held on Saturday 13 September at 1.45 pm in the Harimau room.
This will discuss how emerging technologies, such as VR, AR, mobile apps and AI-driven tools, have the potential to amplify, redefine, or challenge the core educational missions of zoos and aquariums. The session will explore opportunities and challenges for the sector, using real-world examples and sharing multiple perspectives from EAZA aquariums, zoos, and technology partners.
Last week, Immotion shared how it is leveraging its success in zoos and aquariums to expand into the science museum sector. As an established global leader in immersive edutainment, the company will continue its tradition of combining mission-focused storytelling with educational initiatives.
